The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's office.
Shoes defecated on
A Martinez man told police Oct. 26 that someone entered him home, damaged a ceiling fan and defecated inside a pair of his tennis shoes.
Kermit Harvey Jones of the 3900 block of Haley Road said he discovered the incident when he returned home from work at about 11 p.m. and noticed a white man running from behind his house, reports showed.
Jones said that he found a blade to one of his ceiling fans damaged, one of his cable wires cut and a pair of tennis shoes left on the back porch that had been defecated in. The case is considered criminal trespass.
Snack food burglary
Several items of snack food were reported stolen from a Martinez man's home on Oct. 25.
Patrick E. Hodell, who is a local sales representative of Frito Lay, had several chocolate bars, a juice drink and a six-pack of sodas taken from inside his 4400 block of Peregrine Place house, records stated.
Hodell said that someoneentered his master bedroom window, causing more than $250 in damage. He also found a container of one of the stolen sodas, which had been consumed and left in his backyard.
Fish stolen
A Martinez woman reported the theft of several fish from her backyard ponds on Nov. 1.
Shannon Ann Keller of the 300 block of Padrick Street said someone had taken 10 orange Comet fish from three separate landscape ponds, according to department reports.
The case is considered theft by taking.
