Late Kroger manager had impact on community

Editor:

I just got through reading Barry Paschals column on Lindsey Yeomans. Like so many Columbia County residents and employees, I got the opportunity to know this wonderful man.

As a Family and Consumer Science teacher, I was often on the receiving end of his generosity. When Lakeside High first opened, he gave me a grocery cart for me to keep at the school because I have to bring in so many supplies. He also donated food supplies for some of my many fund-raisers. He never expected anything in return.

Paschals column did make me reach for the Kleenex. But it also made me appreciate the impact that Mr. Yeomans made on so many lives in this community.
