Citizens of District 2 invited to offer comments

Many times as an elected official, Im asked if I ever get input from citizens on the decisions that we must make on a day to day basis.

When I first ran for public office three years ago, I thought it was important to a regular dialogue with the people of my district. Periodically, we sit down together and talk about the issues, problems and solutions. I have found it very helpful to sit down with the elected leadership of homeowners associations and concerned citizens - the ones who really know what is going on in their neighborhoods.

On Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., I invite all interested citizens of District 2 in Columbia County to meet with me at the Evans Government Auditorium. We will be discussing green space issues, new recreation parks and bicycle paths, just to name a few topics.

I have found it so helpful to hear from the people I represent, that I hope many will attend.
