The Evans High School Red Raider team took top honor in the annual Columbia County Rogers Cup. Area JROTC teams complete in competitions such as the rope bridge, the Army physical fitness test, a map test, obstacle course, cross country rescue course and a two mile team run. Team captains for the event include, from left, Alan White (Evans), John Smoth and James Jones (Richmond Academy), Aline Wilson (Hepzibah) and Brad Wilson (Hephzibah). Hephzibah finished second and Richmond Academy finished third.

The Evans High School Knight Color Guard presented the colors and the Evans High school band played God Bless the U.S.A. and the Star Spangled Banner before the beginning of the Evans-Jonesboro football game October 5.
