If more elected officials were farmers, America would be better

Letter to the Editor

Editor:

I was so proud to have voted for Lee Anderson, a farmer, in this past election.

Our Founding Fathers had no intention for our country to be run by lawyers. Our government was meant to be run for the people, by the people, not for the elitists by the elitists.

Anderson is a fine man, as most farmers are. He espouses Christian conservative values, as most farmers do.

Have you ever known a farmer that was an atheist? Have you ever known a farmer that supported abortion on demand? Have you ever known a farmer that wanted to outlaw guns?

Yes, I am so proud of Lee Anderson, a farmer. If more of America's elected officials were farmers, America would be a much better place.

Tom Stafford
