On a cold, windy day, Jones Creek Golf Club was not particularly forgiving to county boys golf teams Thursday afternoon.
Such was the case that when Lakeside High School and Evans finished their nine holes tied at 172 in a tri-match with Grovetown, neither felt the need for a playoff to break the deadlock.
Grovetown, which fielded just three golfers, did not finish with an official score.
“The kids hit the ball pretty well but didn’t score,” said Evans head coach Bill Richey. “It’s the highest we’ve shot this year by six strokes.”
