Eunice Yi, a former Panther golfer, is now playing for Georgia Regents University.

Eunice Yi has gotten her sophomore season off to a great start.

In October GRU-Augusta earned their first ever appearance in the Top 25 National Poll.

Then, the team concluded the fall portion of their season with a 2nd Place finish out of 20 teams in the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island.

Their performance on Kiawah Island garnered the squad a bump in the polls to No. 21.

Yi was the team’s star in the event. She opened the three round event with a 4-under 68, and despite playing in extremely difficult conditions on day two, Yi managed to shoot 77 and remain in the Top 10 of the 104 player field.

In Monday’s final round, Yi bounced back with a 2-under 70 to finish the tournament in 3rd Place with a 1-under 215. Only three of the 104 players in the field bettered par for the week.

For the fall, Yi posted a pair of Top 5 finishes and a scoring average of 73.4 in 4 events (12 rounds). She has really been hot in the last three events, with a scoring average of 72.5 with five of her nine rounds under par.

Her goal when she came to GRU-Augusta was to become an All-American and it appears she is well on her way to accomplishing that goal.
