Last Week: 4-2
Season Total: 12-6
Evans (2-0) at Jefferson County (3-0)
Last Week: Evans beat Elbert County 34-31 / Jefferson County beat Greenbrier 49-0
Last Meeting: Evans won last year 24-20
Evans picked up a huge win last week to open the season 2-0. After a sluggish start in the first half against Academy of Richmond County, the Knights have put six solid quarters of offense together. However, the test this week will be for the defense to stop Jefferson County’s tremendous ground duo of RB Car’Tabius Quarterman and QB Will Jordan. Jefferson County is as improved as any team in the CSRA from a year ago.

Greenbrier (0-3) Idle this week / vs. Jones County Sept. 27
Grovetown (1-2) Idle this week / at Houston County Sept. 27
Harlem (3-0) at Social Circle (0-2)
Last Week: Harlem beat Glascock County 28-0
Last Meeting: Harlem won last year’s contest 35-0
The Bulldogs have only allowed 4.7 points per game this season and Hunter Rippe and Austin Burt have become a great one-two punch running the ball. Harlem should go to 4-0 this week.
Social Circle 7
Lakeside (1-1) vs. Westside (3-0)
Last Week: Lakeside was idle / Westside beat Hephzibah 41-0
Last Meeting: Lakeside won last year 43-7 and have won six meetings in a row against Westside
Like Jefferson County and Harlem, Westside is vastly improved from a year ago. Their improvement is largley based on their switch to the triple option. The offense certainly suits their personnel better and it has shown. They have outscored their three opponents 150-33. However, their opponents have not exactly been the best of the CSRA. Lakeside easily poses their stiffest competition of the year. The Panthers have had an extra week to prepare for the Westside ground attack and I think that will be the difference.
Augusta Christian (1-2) at Fox Creek (2-1)
Last Week: ACS lost to Cardinal Newman 22-14/ Fox Creek beat Branchville 42-7
Last Meetng: ACS topped Fox Creek 38-20 last year.
The Lions made too many mistakes to win last week. Not having Thomas Banks has certainly been a factor in the Lions 1-2 start. Bryson Ashmore has been great, but having both of them would obviously cause more problems for opposing defenses. Fox Creek will pose a major test this week.

Augusta Prep (3-0) vs. Georgia Force (Buford, Ga.) (2-2)
Last Week: Prep defeated Thomas Jefferson Academy 45-20 / Georgia Force lost to Skipstone Academy 23-18
Last Meeting: Georgia Force won last year’s matchup 22-21
No one has been able to stop Cavaliers RB Nolan Brandon. Brandon had his second consective 200-yard game on Friday night, as he rambled for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. As a team, Augusta Prep had 414 rushing yards on 47 attempts. Their ground attack will be enough to get them to 4-0.
