Along with the rest of the county’s public schools, the Harlem High School Bulldogs’ first official practice was Thursday.
They were in shoulder pads and helmets Friday morning going through their paces, getting ready for their first full day of contact on Monday.
Head coach Jimmie Lewis thought the 40 players there were putting in a good effort at practice.
“We don’t have many numbers, but we’re just doing what we can do and we’ll work hard and do the best we can do.”
The Bulldogs open their season on Aug. 30 traveling to play Georgia Military College.
