The Augusta Prep boys swim team fell just short of making history Saturday at the Georgia Independent School Association State Championship.

Vying for a record-breaking fifth-consecutive boys title, the Cavaliers finished in second – two points behind the first-place finisher.

The Cavaliers received some outstanding performances. Austin Chung won two individual events: the 200 idividual medley and 100 breaststroke and he was third in the freestyle. John Earwood was fourth in the 200 freestyle and fifth in the 500 freestyle while Jacob Burr was third in the 100 backstroke. The 200 medley relay team (Burr, Chung, Mikey Foster, Nolan Brandon) took second and the 200 freestyle relay team (Earwood, Chung, Eric Brown, Nick Freeman) took third.
