Just days after her high school volleyball career ended, Katie Hagins extended her commitment to the game.
The Grovetown High School senior put pen to paper Oct. 15, signing her letter of intent to play for Reinhardt University, an NAIA school in Waleska, Ga.
After visiting and talking to the volleyball coach, Hagins’ mind was basically made up.
“I liked the campus and the area it was in,” said Hagins.
Hagins did a little bit of everything for the Lady Warriors in 2012. She had 253 assists, 75 digs, 50 kills, 39 aces and 29 blocks.
“She’s been a solid player for three years,” said head coach Amy Slagle. “It will be tough to replace her.”
Hagins said she plans to major in sociology or criminology and pursue a minor in psychology.
