I’m not complaining, don’t get me wrong. But I was reflecting, as I was standing over the kitchen sink panting one recent morning, that each age of child-rearing carries with it its own unique set of challenges and woes.
Newborns, for instance, are unpredictable in their sleep habits. They also need to eat. Constantly. So it’s a good thing they’re so cute, because you’d be tempted to get really annoyed at how crazy those first few months can be.
Then you move on to toddlerhood, where things are just nuts.
