Letter: Don't waste vote on Isakson

Posted: June 25, 2016 - 11:01pm

Dear Editor,

I just saw a campaign whopper, I mean, commercial, for US Senator John Isakson. He claims that he is conservative, which, is not close to truthful. If you add his Heritage Action Scorecard and his Conservative Review average together, the total isn’t even 100. That’s liberal at best. John Hardy Isakson voted to confirm Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder. He voted for NDAA and its funding every year. He voted for gun control measures praised by the left. He voted for the $1.1 trillion Omnibus that funded Obama’s wish list, to include Syrian refugees. He claims that he is cautious with spending. He voted eight times to increase the national debt ceiling $7.1 trillion. He voted for the Internet Sales Tax bill. A word limit prevents me from mentioning the many other liberal things he voted for. John Isakson is a campaign conservative, legislative liberal and I resent his insulting our intelligence by telling outright untrue statements with the expectation that we will fall for his gimmicks. Please, join me in not voting for John Isakson, the candidate whose record is akin to that of Lindsey Graham and John McCain. John Isakson is the textbook definition of RINO.
