This next election is so important. The news media would tell you this candidate is for this or that to swing your vote this way or that. Don’t believe it. It is all political noise with the intent to hide the real questions.
Ideology is the true question confronting us. In my humble opinion, America is at a fork in the road and there are only three real important questions Americans need to consider:
• Freedom: Do you want Socialism or Capitalism? Socialism is an ideology that many countries have tried, but it has failed to deliver on its promises. Only a few have a voice and benefit from this ideology. Capitalism isn’t perfect, but it has allowed the United States to lead the free world for more than 200 years. With capitalism, many have a voice and many benefit.
• Life: Do you want a welfare state, or do want a country were jobs are available in which folks work to earn a living, feed their families and live free of government involvement?
• Liberty: Government spending? Do you want to follow Europe with a larger government and tax-and-spend approach, or do you want a smaller government with a sound budget policy? Tax and spend will send Europe over the edge.
A book written more than 2,000 years ago states: What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:8-10).
It is our choice. I suggest to you, my fellow Americans: Vote carefully!
