As a Republican candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 121, I want to thank all of those who have supported and encouraged me.
While a victor is yet to be decided in the race, I am already a winner as a result of the new friendships made and the bonding with old friends. I have been blessed. I am also proud of the cordial relationship that my opponent, Barry Fleming, and I have maintained throughout the campaign. He has been a gentleman throughout, and I think our affable relationship is one rarely seen in a political contest.
I was led to run for the state House because I believe our country (and our state) are in trouble. Families are hurting financially and businesses are struggling. The common theme with the people seems to be that the career politicians have abandoned those they were elected to represent. We have lost confidence in too many of our elected officials. Something must change if things are to improve.
My wife, Christie, and I have been married for over 31 years. We have raised three great kids in this community. We have a strong faith in God and feel an obligation to serve in our community, in our church, and to the citizens of District 121. I think we need officials who will focus on the people, not politics. I intend to put “represent” back into representative.
I built a business from the ground up. I’ve created jobs and had to work hard and “pinch pennies” to make ends meet. I understand the challenges our citizens face every day. I think my experience is what we need in the state House.
This community has been good to me and my family. I will not compromise my values and never apologize for my faith in God. I am committed to serving with honesty, hard work, and common sense. I will provide genuine, conservative leadership in the state House of Georgia.
