The primary election for our congressional candidate to oppose U.S. Rep. John Barrow shows indications of a high voter turnout, as it should. The majority of voters have had little or no personal contact with the candidates. Therefore we base our choice on the background, the endorsements and our past experience with Congress and regulatory agencies. This individual has had occasion to appear before House and Senate committees with continuous employment in the trucking industry for 50 years in a wide variety of roles.
That industry continues to experience a driver shortage in a time of high unemployment, a prime example of overburdening regulations and failure to confront the solution. Past performance and evaluation of our elected representatives leads to a logical conclusion.
We don’t need more lawyers in Congress! We need tradesmen, farmers, truck drivers media employees and more from the grass roots. Term limits are found in the ballot box. The term of elected Rep. Paul Broun has been highly satisfactory to our home.
We expect the same from our representative in the 12th District.
