What does the Magistrate Court judge do?
Magistrate Court jurisdiction includes: civil claims of $15,000 or less; certain minor criminal offenses; distress warrants and dispossessory writs; county ordinance violations; deposit account fraud (bad checks); preliminary hearings; and summonses, arrest and search warrants. The chief magistrate heads the Magistrate Court. This description is from www.georgiacourts.org.
Jason Troiano is the candidate with experience.
My family and I have been actively telling Columbia County citizens about the chief magistrate election in Columbia County on July 31. We are supporting Jason Troiano, who already is working in Magistrate Court in Columbia County and is the only candidate with experience for the position of chief magistrate in this election.
The reason for defining what the Magistrate Court and chief magistrate does is to show the large number and types of cases for which the magistrate is responsible.
Jason Troiano is a man of integrity and is a judge who will be fair to all concerned.
Please join my family in supporting Jason Troiano as Columbia County’s next chief magistrate judge.
