Sensible energy policy awaits Obama's removal

Editor:

Some oil and gas company officials in South Dakota were hauled into court for causing the death of two dozen migratory birds near their construction sites, with punishment of $15,000 per bird or jail time. Most of these exploration companies are fully aware of the Obama administration’s hostility toward them and operate in full compliance with environmental laws.

On the other hand, according to the American Bird Conservancy, wind turbine companies had already killed 440,000 migratory birds by that time – and the killing goes on.

There seems to be a total lack of action against wind farms and turbine manufacturers by the Obama administration and the “greens.”

The administration is consciously deepening our dependence on the world’s hostile oil producers, and also manipulating the defeat of our and Canada’s Keystone pipeline project that would bring millions of barrels of oil to our Southern refineries. If our left wing-government rejects this project, Canada will pipe the oil west and sell it to our “friends” in China.

The good news is that when we defeat the present administration, we can draw from the world’s second-largest oil and gas reserves from ours and Canada’s shale fields and deep fracturing. The world’s largest deposits are in western Iran and with our other “friends.”

You cannot convert an 8 million car and truck transportation system to electricity and natural gas in less than 30 years.
