When Ron Cross first ran for Columbia County Commission Chairman in 2002, members of my family participated in a campaign message that was significant to us, especially as a family with young children – supporting strong community values, a vibrant and growing economy, as well as appreciation for our wonderful school system, law enforcement and overall quality of life.
It was important to us to have a leader, like Ron Cross, in place to help maintain our optimism and strive to keep the best interests of Columbia County in mind.
In addition to our great school system and outstanding law enforcement, I have always appreciated the wonderful attributes this community offers its residents, such as a variety of arts and cultural experiences, wonderful parks and recreational opportunities, as well as an abundance of local and national retailers and restaurants.
Now, with the exciting recent announcements of the new Gander Mountain retail store and the Army’s new Cyber Command Headquarters at Fort Gordon, Columbia County will continue to experience positive economic rewards for years to come.
I have known Ron Cross for over 35 years. I am proud of the leadership he has exhibited during years of tremendous economic growth in our beautiful community, and I have complete confidence in him to continue to guide our progress.
Most especially, I am proud of his total commitment and dedication to Columbia County. I supported Ron when he was first elected Commission Chairman, and I am proud to support him now in his re-election as Chairman of the Columbia County Commission.
I hope you will join me in voting for Ron Cross on May 20th.
