Civil War event

The Civil War Roundtable of Augusta monthly meeting, 6 p.m. June 19, Goodwill's Snelling Center, 3165 Washington Road, Augusta, features Gerald Prokopowicz, chair of the history department, East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., who presents on his book, Did Lincoln Own Slaves and Other Frequently Asked Questions About Abraham Lincoln. Commission meeting
The Columbia County board of commissioners will hold its regularly scheduled meeting beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 20 in the auditorium of building A of the government center in Evans. The commission meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Artists Guild of Columbia County presents Pottery Camp with Angelika Bondar, a two-day camp for ages 6-12, 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday, June 20-21, at Church of Our Savior at 4227 Columbia Road. Glow Run in Grovetown
The Race for the Fallen Glow Run, 8 p.m. Sat., June 24, Liberty Park Community Center, Grovetown. Family-fun night race welcomes participants of all ages and speeds.

Race proceeds benefit the Police Benevolent Foundation. Registration is $45

Mobile Game Theater
The Mount Pleasant Baptist Church is hosting a youth event, featuring the "Mobile Game Theater," at 809 Mount Pleasant Church Road in Grovetown, behind the Eagle Paint and Body, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday June 24.
