Summer feeding

The Columbia County Summer Lunch program is available May 31-July 14. Meals are served at various locations at no cost for kids 18 and under. Adults pay regular price of $3.75. Zoning not applicable for picking up lunches. Locations include: Lakeside High, 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; Ridge Crossing Apartments, noon to 12:45 p.m.; Westmont Elementary, 11-11:45 a.m.; Harlem Baptist Church, 11-11:45 a.m.; Liberty Park, noon to 12:45 p.m.; Magnolia Trace Apartments, 11-11:45 a.m.; Westwood Club Apartments, noon to 12:45 p.m.

Art Camp

The Harlem Arts Coun­cil presents Chil­dren's Art Camp for kin­der­garten to second-grade students with Angelika Bondar and other Arts Council instructors 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, at 175 N. Louisville St. in Harlem. The class is designed for budding artists. Cost for all three classes is $45, plus $5 supply fee.

The Columbia County Library's Harlem Branch will hold a grand opening beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at the new library, 145 N. Louisville St. in Harlem.

VA town hall meeting

Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center will conduct its quarterly veterans town hall 2-3 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Augusta-Richmond County Library auditorium at 823 Telfair St. Leadership will provide an update on issues affecting veterans and their care. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Library book sale

The Columbia County Friends of the Library Book Sale is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 2, and 2-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday June 3-4, at the Evans branch. Books will be on display in the foyer of the library. There will be both fiction and nonfiction books for sale.
