Art Camp

The Harlem Arts Coun­cil presents Chil­dren's Art Camp for kin­der­garten through second-grade students with Angelika Bondar and other arts council instructors from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday at 175 N. Louisville St. in Harlem. Cost for all three classes is $45, plus a $5 supply fee.

Library opening

The Columbia County Library's Harlem Branch will hold a grand opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the site of the new library, 145 N. Louisville St. in Harlem.

VA town hall

Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center will conduct its quarterly veterans town hall from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Augusta-Richmond County Library auditorium at 823 Telfair St. Leaders will provide an update on issues affecting veterans and their care. Free and open to the public.

Ramadan dinner

The Islamic Society of Augusta's monthly Lifting the Veil program for June is combined with the Taste of Ramadan dinner at 7 p.m. Thursday. Register at tasteoframadan.eventbrite.com.

Book sale

The Columbia County Friends of the Library Book Sale is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 3-4, at the Evans branch. Books will be on display in the foyer of the library.

Beach Blast

Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday for the Columbia County Summer Beach Blast at Evans Towne Center Park. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Purchase tickets at summerbeachblast.com; advance tickets $15, day of show $20.

HMS celebration

The Goodbye Harlem Middle School community celebration is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 375 W. Forrest St., Harlem. There will be a silent auction of school memorabilia, inflatables, carnival games, concessions and cash-and-carry yard sale items from school.

Golf fundraiser

The fifth annual Concerned Women Inc. Charity Golf Tournament, on June 10 at Bartram Trail Golf Course, begins with lunch at noon.
