Choir concert

The St. Olaf Choir and conductor Anton Armstrong will present a concert at St. John United Methodist Church, 736 Greene St., Augusta, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11. The concert will feature sacred and secular masterpieces, as well as music for chorus and grand pipe organ. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students, and are available at stolaftickets.com or by calling (800) 363-5487.

Benefit concert

A benefit concert for the 2015 St. Paul’s Choir Trip to Canada and New England will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, by Sho Ane Seaton, soprano; Richard Cook, tenor and pianist; Taylor Massey, clarinet; Vonda Darr, harp; and Keith Shafer, pianist. The program will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Sixth and Reynolds at Riverwalk Augusta. Admission is free but donations in support of the choir trip will be accepted. The trip is scheduled for June 2015, begins in Montreal and ends in Boston, where the group will sing at Old North Church.

GOP women

Greater Columbia county Republican Women will meet 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at Be My Guest Catering, 4216 Washington Road. Speakers will be Niki Broun, wife of U.S. Rep. Dinner theatre

Harlem High School is holding a promotional dinner theatre at 6 p.m. Feb. 13-15 at Red Oak Manor to raise money for the Drama program. Major numbers from their upcoming show The Wedding Singer will be performed along with some scenes. Tickets are on sale now for $25 per person. You can also purchase a table of eight for $160. Senior pageant

Contestant interviews are underway for the 2014 Ms. Senior Georgia-Carolina Pageant to be held Sept. 6 at the Kroc Center.The pageant is open to ladies of the CSRA (both Georgia and South Carolina) who are 55 years of age or above. Please contact Pat Schlipp at (706) 664-3896 for further details.
