Hayride

The annual Hayride through the life of Christ will be held at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Sharon Baptist Church in Appling, at (706) 541-0667

Christmas at Cedar Rock

Macedonia United Methodist Church presents the 17th Annual "Christmas at Cedar Rock" from 6:30 - 9 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7 - Saturday, Dec. 9 at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Camak. See the sights and sounds of Christmas with a complimentary hayride, then experience the Life of Christ beginning with a live Nativity Scene. For more information contact (706) 945-9740.

Singing Christmas Tree

Abilene Baptist Church presents the 39th Annual Singing Christmas Tree Dec. 8-10 at 3917 Washington Road, in Martinez. Tickets are free, but must be reserved. Visit myabilene.org/sct for more information.

Channukah Celebrations

Local Jewish organization, Chabad of Augusta presents Channukah celebrations with a Giant Menorah to be kindled at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12, in celebration of the Jewish festival of Chanukah, at the Evens Town Center Park. A large 7-foot Menorah will be kindled followed by Chanukah songs, greetings by local dignitaries, area rabbis, a children's Chanukah performance, gifts for all children, children activities, hot sizzling potato Latkes. This event is open to all, free of charge.

Bethlehem Village

Martinez United Methodist Church presents Bethlehem Village Live Walk Through from 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17. Walk through the town of Bethlehem. Visit the towns people and shops of Bethlehem. Come experience the manger where our Savior is born. Come feel the spirit of Christmas.

Breakfast

Men's Breakfast meets at Mosaic Church in Evans the last Sunday of every month from 8-8:50 a.m. Enjoy a little breakfast and time with your brothers. For more information, contact Bill Richey at wsts.rich@comcast.net.

Fellowship supper

Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners at Marvin United Methodist Church from 5:45-6:30 p.m. First meal is free. Cost is $5 for adults, no cost for children's hot dog meals. Maximum cost for a family is $20. After the dinner, please stay and join us in one of our small groups.

Hour of prayer

At His Feet: One hour of prayer will begin at 11 a.m. at New Life Worship Center West Campus, located at 3940 Desoto Drive in Martinez. Starting Oct. 1, every first Saturday - one-hour prayer at New Life West 11 a.m.-noon. All denominations.

Bible Study

St. Augustine Coptic Orthodox Church, will hold Bible study at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 634 Furys Ferry Road in Martinez. Acknowledging the authority of the Holy Scriptures and following the pattern of teaching of the church fathers. All ages and all Bible-believing Christians are invited to grow in the faith and knowledge of our savior, Jesus Christ.

Jewish life exhibition
