Lucretia Freeland celebrated her 100th birthday on July 31. Freeland was originally from Mobile, Ala., where she met her husband, Augusta native James Frank Freeland. During their marriage they lived in Alabama, Hawaii, California, Louisiana and Connecticut before moving to Augusta. Lucretia has been a member of St. Mark Church for 58 years and still attends regularly. She has four children, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
