School Hearings, May 15, 2013

• A Grovetown High School student went before the school system hearing officer April 30 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for remainder of the school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the Columbia County Alternative School.

• An alternative school student went before the hearing office April 30 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and ordered to attend the alternative school for the first semester of next year.

• Three Evans High School students went before the hearing officer April 30 for breaking and entering and vandalism and were suspended for the remainder of the school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Greenbrier High School student went before the hearing officer May 1 for possession of prescription drugs and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• An Evans High School student went before the hearing officer May 1 for truancy and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and was ordered to attend the alternative school next year.
