School Disciplinary Hearings, March 6, 2013

• An Evans High School student went before the school system hearing officer on Feb. 20 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and all of next year with the option to attend the Columbia County Alternative School.

• A Grovetown High School student went before the hearing officer on Feb. 20 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for the remainder of the school year.

• An alternative school student went before the hearing officer on Feb. 20 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and ordered to attend the alternative school for the first semester of next year.

• Two Lakeside High School students went before the hearing officer Feb. 20 for possession of marijuana and were suspended for the remainder of the school with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Lakeside Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Feb. 22 for an accumulation of offenses and was suspended for the remainder of the school year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• An Evans High School student went before the hearing officer on Feb. 22 for making threats or intimidating and was suspended for the remainder of the school year and the first semester of next year with the option to attend the alternative school.

• A Harlem Middle School pupil went before the hearing officer on Feb. 22 for making a public display of affection and was remanded to the school with time served.
