Bond issue set
Columbia County voters will go to the polls next Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1961, to decide the outcome of a $230,000 school bond issue which will be used to relieve crowded conditions in the county schools.
Boy Scout Day
The Harlem Scouts will be among 600 Scouts of the Georgia-Carolina Council who will attend the fifth annual Boy Scout Day to be held at the Army Signal Training Center on Saturday, Feb. 11, 1961.
Among activities at the center, the boys will participate in mock parachute jumps, witness judo demonstrations and aerial demonstrations, ride in Jeeps, eat in the military mess hall and view motion pictures.
