The University of Georgia Georgettes performed at the Columbia Country fair Nov. 6. The Georgettes are the dance team that performs on the field during the Bulldogs' football games. Grovetown High School junior Kaitlin Morgan practices a dive Wednesday afternoon at Augusta Aquatics Center. Practices for the upcoming swimming and diving season have been taking place for a couple of weeks for Columbia County schools.
Lakeside High School's junior varsity squad went 5-2 this season with a convincing, 41-14 win at stalwart Burke County. In addition, the Panthers went undefeated against their Columbia County opponents, routing them all to claim The Columbia County News-Times County Cup.
