Rodeo Nights - an annual fundraiser for the Southeastern Firefighters' Burn Foundation - is scheduled for April 20-22 at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. The eighth annual event is sponsored by Joseph M. Still Burn Centers, Inc.
"Once I had a bird come in from a race and zoom by me and circle around to come into the loft, and then he flew back by in a big arc with a hawk after him. Pretty amazing birds, that even after flying for 200 miles, they can still outrun a hawk.

Adult animals cost $25 to adopt and the adoption fee for puppies and kittens is $20. All animals must be spayed or neutered. The kennel is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays for adoptions and visiting with the animals, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to reclaim a lost pet and all other services. The facility is located at 1940 William Few Parkway.
