North Augusta High School was recognized Friday for having one of the top athletic fields in the country. Pioneer Athletics gave the school a 2011 Fields of Excellence award for it's football field. The award was one of 91 given nationally.

The North Augusta Junior Women's League is well on its way to kick-starting the Golden Harvest Food Bank's BackPack Program at North Augusta Elementary School. In March, the organization held an oyster roast and raised more than $1,500.
