John Carter knows scary.
Carter, owner of House of Terror, has been in the haunted-house business since he was 13.
Growing up, he would help build things for haunted houses, and act as well.
"I've always liked doing it," he said.
• The 28th annual Science Education Enrichment Day will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of South Carolina Aiken. The event will feature interactive and hands-on science and math activity stations.
