Recently I had lunch at The River Golf Club with Fletcher Dickert, candidate for North Augusta City Council. I offer my impressions of Fletcher hoping that savvy readers of this paper will support Mr. Dickert's election effort as I intend to do.

Woman sets house on fire
A 46-year-old woman is accused of using turpentine to start a fire that destroyed a North Augusta house Friday.
Carrie Knotts, of the 1000 block of Long Leaf Court, was charged with felony arson, Lt.
Yvonne Kinney's interest in the arts started when she was a young girl living in Waukegan, Ill.
Her stepfather was a hotel manager and the family moved frequently which exposed her to music and the fine arts.
