College fair Augusta Christian Schools will host the National Christian College Fair on Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Warren Baptist Church.

Register for the Grovetown High School Mini-Camp on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the high school. The camp is for those in pre-K through sixth grade and costs $50 per camper up to Oct. 11 and $55 after.

The current budget crisis could be resolved if the Speaker of the House of Representatives would allow members to vote on a "clean" continuing resolution, U.S. Rep John Barrow said Monday. Barrow spoke to a group of constituents Monday morning at the Columbia County Government Complex in Evans. He told those gathered that enough Republican support was there to end the standoff if House Speaker John Boehner will allow a vote that did not include defunding the Affordable Care Act.
