The founder, president and CEO of Sports Academy South, Inc., won a $10,000 grant from Jefferson Energy and has a small window in which to use the funds.

The Schuman National Underclassmen Combine, Showcase and 7 on 7 Tournament will be held at Grovetown High School in conjunction with Sports Academy South on May 4. Football evaluations are done for second- to 11th-graders. Go to www.nucsports.

When the Region 2-AAAAA Golf Tournament starts Monday at Bartram Trail, Greenbrier High School junior Tyler Barker hopes to lead the Wolfpack to a repeat of 2013 when they won the region, automatically advancing to the state competition.
