After swimming with the dolphins at age 7 in Discovery Cove, Fla., Taylor Shockley decided on a career path and has stuck to it.
The 12-year-old North Augusta Middle School pupil wants to be a marine biologist.
Cheerleaders from the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina performed for The RECing Crew and ate lunch with its members on Friday at Grace United Methodist Church. The teams were in town for the annual Border Bash.
Race benefits Arts and Heritage Center
The Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta will have a Spooky Spring 5K on Oct. 27.
The race will begin at 9 a.m. on the Greeneway Trail at Center Street.

Marching band competition featuring high school marching bands from all over the CSRA. Bands will compete in the 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A categories. Concessions will be available all day long and other vendors will be on site. Come out and enjoy great music and showmanship! Gates open at 12pm - 10pm. Admission is $5 per person - ages 5 and under are free.
