This year's Relay for Life North Augusta/Midland Valley will be a celebration of birthdays in more than one way.
The event is scheduled for May 10 at North Augusta High School, and the theme is Celebrating 100 Years of Hope.
When Andrea Spano showed an interest in art in grade school, her mother encouraged her.
"I was the kid that had four shoe boxes of crayons in my room," she said. "I remember it was like opening a treasure chest when I played with my crayons.
