Reception for student art show set for Friday
The North Augusta Cultural Arts Council will have a Student Art Show featuring artwork from Area 2 students from Friday through May 17 at the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta.

By fall, pupils at North Augusta Elementary School will have a South Carolina-themed courtyard to enjoy.
North Augusta Ele-mentary's School Improve-ment Council has begun working on the courtyard, which is between the fourth- and fifth-grade pods.
Once the city's park-and-ride facility is constructed, carpoolers will no longer have to use shopping center lots to meet and park.
The facility will be on a 5.7-acre property between Austin Graybill Road and the on-ramp to Interstate 20 westbound.
