Thrift store to re-open The Salvation Army of Greater Augusta will hold a grand re-opening celebration for the North Augusta Family Thrift Store at 1803 Knox Ave. from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The first 35 customers will receive a free item.
Turner Simkins wanted a way to help local businesses market in new ways. Simkins joined up with Jeremy Mace to found NewFire Media two years ago. Simkins has a background in real estate development and other business ventures.
