The hearing for the appeal of the state's decision to award a license to Georgia Regents Medical Center to build a hospital in Columbia County won't begin until June 22, much later than first anticipated.
Ronnie DeLaughter considers himself a "Ronald Reagan Republican."
DeLaughter, who retired in 2012 after working with North Augusta Public Safety for more than 42 years, said that he's for controlling spending.
Carolyn Baggott wants to see North Augusta continue to meet residents' needs.
"North Augusta belongs to our citizens, not to us as council members," said Baggott, who has served on city council since 1991.
Jimmy Adams wants to help ensure the city remains a place that attracts new residents and businesses.
"My goal on serving on the council is stewardship of the city's business," said Adams, who has served 12 years on the North Augusta City Council.
COLUMBIA - A small step has been taken toward achieving transparency in government.
Last summer, the Supreme Court ruled that under current law, public bodies are not required to provide meeting agendas to the public.
