Dear editor, After a month of persistent and crippling snowstorms, I do look forward to spring weather, green grass, and flowers in bloom. The advent of spring is also a great opportunity to turn over a new leaf on our dietary habits.

Shannon Devon Patton and Daniel Joseph Newton were never indicted in South Carolina for the murder of Jack Murray and will be up for parole in Georgia next year. That bothers Murray's stepson, Michael Murray, who faults the state for not prosecuting them for murder there and fears that they might be set free by Georgia after serving only 12 years.
