Kim Buchanan admits she likes her routine.
Every morning she rises and has the same breakfast: a waffle, scrambled eggs and coffee.
Five days each week, she teaches the same Advanced Placement Language Arts course to five different classes of 11th-graders at Grovetown High School.
“I am a creature of habit,” said Buchanan, who was recently named Columbia County Teacher of the Year. “I think that is because there are so many things I want to do. I’m always trying to find ways to be more efficient with my time because I never think I have enough time with them.”
