The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold an open house Tuesday to provide information on detours for a planned bridge replacement project in Appling.
The DOT plans to replace the “structurally deficient” Scotts Ferry Road bridge over Greenbrier Creek. The bridge is on the road between its intersections with Yelton and Tubman roads.
The open house will be held 5-7 p.m. at North Columbia Elementary School, 2874 Ray Owens Road, Appling.
No formal presentation will be given at the session, according to a DOT announcement.
