The Columbia County Community Connections staff is asking for help to make sure needy children in the county eat lunch all summer.
The agency has partnered with Action Ministries for the Smart Lunch, Smart Kid program.
“It’s a pretty big undertaking,” Community Connections Executive Director Julie Miller said. “We need everybody’s help. … We want this to really, truly be a community effort.”
Through the program, Miller said she hopes to provide a nutritious lunch for up to 400 children in the county.
