The time of the earliest pioneers and Indians comes to life during Mistletoe State Park’s annual Pioneer and Indian Program.
The program, which exposes children ages 7 to 12 to candle-making, butter-churning and the use of plants for medicinal purposes, will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. The cost of the program is $20, with preregistration and payment required by Monday.
“The main reason we continue to host programs like this is the opportunity it offers,” said Brenda Bettross, program assistant at Mistletoe.
“It creates a unique hands-on learning experience.”
