Intoxicated teen nabbed at TPS

Police charged a teenager for being intoxicated after being found at a gas station with blood on his clothing. The driver of the vehicle he was in fled from police.

According to the incident report, police saw two males in the parking lot of the TPS gas station on Washington Road at William Few Parkway. Police said the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Collin Castillo, began pumping gas, while the passenger, later identified as Logan Barker, was inside the store.

When Barker exited the store, police said they saw a large amount of what appeared to be blood on Barker's shirt, according to the report. When approached, police stated that Barker had extremely slurred speech and glassy eyes, along with a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

Castillo ran into the woods behind the gas station when police attempted to question him. Police were unable to chase Castillo with Barker in custody.

Police said Barker was extremely intoxicated and was swaying side to side while standing. Barker told police that he had only consumed one beer. Barker then became irate with police, stating he wished to have his mother present. Barker became more belligerent when his mother arrived, police said.

Barker registered a .214 blood alcohol content level on the alcohol sensor. He was released and cited as minor in possession.
