Two employees pepper sprayed

Two employees at an Evans store were hit with pepper spray when attempting to stop a woman from stealing merchandise.

The two victims told police that an unknown female filled a tote bag with men's underwear and began to walk towards the front of the store and waited, according to the incident report.

The first victim told police the female attempted to dart out of the store. At that time, the second victim attempted to grab the bag of underwear from the female at which time the woman turned and struck the victim in the face with a closed fist. The subject then pulled pepper spray from her pocket and sprayed both victims.

The subject left the store leaving all items on the ground. The employees stated that they would provide surveillance video in an effort to identify the subjects.
