Evans FBLA takes first place in region

The Evans High Future Business Leaders of America region competitors earned enough awards to win 1st place overall in the region.

The team earned 31 individual awards and 13 team awards including 14 first place wins, nine second place wins and many more Top Ten awards.

A total of 38 members competed in 27 different events in December and January in a region tournament comprised of 17 counties. The last time Evans High won the region trophy was in 2015.

"We are very excited to have accomplished one of our goals of bringing the trophy back to EHS for another year," said FBLA leader April Nunnally.

The FBLA Region competition Awards took place Jan. 16, at Swainsboro High School in Swainsboro.

Evans High FBLA members will compete at the state level in February and March for their chance to place in the Top Ten to be announced at the FBLA State Conference in Atlanta on March 23-24.

Georgia FBLA has more than 25,000 members competing for their opportunity to represent Georgia at the National Conference each summer.
