Memorial Day holds a special place in the heart of Culver's co-owner Kraig Tabor.

And in order to honor the fallen who have served, the restaurant held a display of military uniforms including nurse's and other uniforms from the Korean and world wars over the Memorial Day weekend.

The uniforms are a collection that Tabor and his family have collected over the years from several of Tabor's uncles who have served and others, including a Culver's employee, who is a retired Army Master Sargeant.

Tabor said his family is passionate about history, as his daughter participates in living history re-enactments in nurse's uniforms and the family is eager to travel to Normandy this summer to complete the journey their relative took during WWII during his time in service.

The display drew veterans over the weekend who came and shared stories with Tabor and other guests.

Behind the display was a television featuring a series of interviews with veterans, compiled by a friend of Tabor's daughter, Katy.

Tabor said it was an effort to honor those who have died in service to their country, and that he plans to return the display to the restaurant for Veterans Day in November.
