Race for the Fallen Glow Run Coming to Grovetown

Grovetown's Liberty Park will welcome the Race for the Fallen Glow run at the community center, on behalf of the Police Benevolent Foundation, June 24.

All proceeds from the race will benefit the PBF, a nonprofit that helps law enforcement offices and their families after a tragedy.

"The Race for the Fallen was created to honor the brave men and women who risk their lives every day to protect our families, and it is a tribute to the officers who gave their lives to protect our community," according to a news release from the PBA.

The 5K race begins at 8:30 p.m. and registration is $40, which includes a neon race shirt, 21 pieces of glow gear and an LED glowing finisher medal and more. There is also a one-mile fun run. Participants of all ages will will run under an LED glowing inflatable arch between inflatable columns. Pets are allowed but must remain on a leash.

The Police Benevolent Foundation is a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization established by the Southern States Police Benevolent Association (SSPBA) in 2005. Established in 1987, SSPBA has been serving its membership for 29 years. SSPBA is not a union. It is an independent association with no national or international affiliations.
